Day to day programme
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls, Check-In & Sunset Boat Cruise
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park.
The journey is planned at a comfortable pace, with scheduled stops along the way for refreshments, coffee, restroom breaks and stretching.
On arrival, check in at Murchison River Lodge, freshen up and take some time to relax before your afternoon activity.
Later in the afternoon, embark on a sunset boat cruise along the River Nile, a peaceful and scenic introduction to the park. Keep an eye out for hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and a wide variety of water birds along the riverbanks. As the sun begins to set, enjoy the colours and tranquil atmosphere of the Nile.
After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Leisure & Evening/Night Game Drive
Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive through the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park. The early hours offer some of the best wildlife viewing. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, oribis, hyenas and numerous bird species. The drive is relaxed, with plenty of time for photography.
Return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon break. Relax, enjoy the lodge surroundings or simply unwind before the evening activity.
Later in the afternoon, return to the park for a combined evening and night game drive. As daylight fades, wildlife becomes more active in the cooler evening hours and after dark. The night section is conducted with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger for safety and guidance.
Keep watch for nocturnal species such as hyenas, civets, genets, bush babies and nightjars. With some luck, you may also see lions or leopards moving through the park after sunset.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Leisurely Breakfast, Local Market Visits & Return to Entebbe
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge and take in your final moments of the peaceful surroundings of Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, check out and begin the journey back to Entebbe. The return is comfortably paced, with planned breaks for refreshments, restroom stops, stretching and lunch.
During suitable breaks we also visit selected local markets and trading centres. It is a chance to experience everyday Ugandan life, meet local communities and browse locally made crafts, fabrics, fresh produce and souvenirs. The market visits are built into the journey so the return trip does not feel rushed.
Continue towards Entebbe, enjoying the changing landscapes, and arrive later in the day. This ends your 3-day Murchison Falls National Park safari.
