Introduction
Your first safari starts with one decision: where to go. This tour picks two parks and connects them by air. You spend your days with wildlife, not in a vehicle. In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you track mountain gorillas. In Kyambura Gorge, you look for chimpanzees. On the Kazinga Channel, you take a boat safari. In the Ishasha sector, you search for tree-climbing lions. About half of the world's mountain gorillas live in Bwindi.
Take a look at how each day breaks down. What does each day look like?
Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe You land in Entebbe and spend the night there. You have an optional morning game drive. Then you fly back to Entebbe for your departure.
Day 2: Fly to Bwindi You fly to Bwindi and check in at your lodge. Later, choose a nature walk or a community visit. Both are optional.
Day 3: Gorilla tracking You track mountain gorillas in the forest. Trek times vary. Rest at your lodge afterwards.
Day 4: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park You travel to Queen Elizabeth through Ishasha. Stop for a game drive on the way. Watch the fig trees for lions.
Day 5: Chimpanzees and the Kazinga Channel You track chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge. Then you take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. Expect hippos and elephants along the banks.
