Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-highest mountain, rises dramatically above the central highlands. Its jagged peaks and glaciers contrast with lush foothills, creating one of Africa’s most striking landscapes. The mountain was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. While Batian (5,199 m) and Nelion (5,188 m) require technical climbing, most trekkers aim for Point Lenana (4,985 m). The trek passes through bamboo, moorlands, and alpine zones, making it a paradise for hikers and nature lovers.
